"Parkerizing"
Friday, 12 July 2002 Drop off my 1919 at PCS, Inc. to have it parked. Nice to have one step in my neck of the woods.
Sunday, 14 July 2002 Received some pics of a few of the parts that have been parked by PCS, Inc. They look pretty good to me.
Wednesday, 17 July 2002 Received some more pictures from Jim at PCS, Inc. Nice way to do business.
Saturday, 27 July 2002 Happy day, picked up my 1919 from Jim at PCS, Inc today. Still kinda POed about the welding.
Thursday, 25 July 2002 Ok, got my first bad news today for this project. Seems that my welder guy used the wrong type of rod to do the welds. So I guess I'll just match the park color with some paint and paint the welds. Here's the the opposite side. The park job does look good.
Sunday, 28 July 2002 Got out the hobby paints and matched the color to the park and painted the offending weld marks. Looks OK but would be much happier if the welds were done right. Check the after paint job pictures to the before pictures above. This fix came with the kit so my welder buddy is off the hook for this one on the sight. Should be able to test fire in a couple of days when my day off comes around
