My G-43 adventure.
I bought the rifle picture below at a gun show in Texas in the late '80s. I figured I could just replace the sock and I'd have a nice WW II German rifle. Boy was I wrong. I've been working on this project for about 13 years. I could have finished sooner, but as always other things took priority. The lack of information made it hard to rebuild the rifle. A new book is being published, see The Historical Parts & Militaria Co. , so I decided to save all the photos I could find on the web. I decide to put up a web page after finding a discussion going on at the GunAndKnife Forums. So, all the pictures are here.

This is the stock that the rifle had when I purchased it in the 80's. The original stock has what looks like a 6 or 9 on the right were the sling goes through the stock. Any ideas feel free to drop me an e-mail.

New walnut stock, SARCO now has correct laminated stock for a little more than I paid for the walnut stock. I still need a butt plate. Found some on ebay but they were more than I'd paid for the rifle.

Got a butt plate from The Historical Parts & Militaria Co. at the Tulsa Gun and Knife show, not correct but looks the part. Also the magazine that came with the Rifle has Made in Denmark stamped on the floor plate. DISA in Copenhagen made these magazines after the war.
